CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Meitheal Pharmaceuticals (“Meitheal”), a fully integrated generic injectables company based in Chicago, is proud to be “Certified” by Great Place to Work® for the first time. Meitheal was also recently named as one of the 2022 Best Places to Work in Illinois, presented by The Daily Herald Suburban Business.

“We are thrilled to become Great Place to Work-Certified™ and to be named one of the Best Places to Work in Illinois as we consider employee experience a top priority every day,” said CEO Tom Shea. “We owe our continued success to our team of dedicated employees at Meitheal. We celebrate and thank them for all they do to earn this incredible recognition.”

Great Place to Work® is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and the leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention and increased innovation. Great Place to Work® is a prestigious award based entirely on what current employees say about their experience working at Meitheal.

“Great Place to Work Certification™ isn’t something that comes easily – it takes ongoing dedication to the employee experience,” said Sarah Lewis-Kulin, vice president of global recognition at Great Place to Work. “It’s the only official recognition determined by employees’ real-time reports of their company culture. Earning this designation means that Meitheal is one of the best companies to work for in the country.”

When asked about their experiences, employees at Meitheal emphasized the company’s collaborative and flexible culture as well as open communication and supportive leadership as contributing to making it a great workplace.

According to Great Place to Work® research, job seekers are 4.5 times more likely to find a great boss at a Certified workplace. Additionally, employees at Certified workplaces are 93% more likely to look forward to coming to work, and are twice as likely to be paid fairly, earn a fair share of the company’s profits, and have a fair chance at promotion.

Meitheal was also recognized and honored as one of the best places of employment in Illinois, benefiting the area’s economy, workforce and businesses in the Best Places to Work in Illinois 2022.

“We strive every day to be a valued partner to our employees and communities in Chicago and Illinois,” said Shea. “Over the past five years we’ve worked hard to create a company culture that lives up to our values of working together for a common good. These awards are recognition of these efforts as we continue to attract top talent for our growing business.”
